The bees needs

Hoping new hives will mean more honey

Quick visit to the plot this morning to water and found myself mystified by the bees.

Seems they sometimes get stuck to the sunflowers, almost as if they’re in a pollen haze (daze), like babies at the breast or opium smokers at the pipe.

Sure, some of them are industrious (there are four hives on site at the moment, including a brand-new hi-tech purple plastic one, so many bees of every sort about!) but others seem to stay on the same flower for days.

Hoping someone out there knows more about it, are they just in bee honey heaven. Hope so, it gives me joy to see them.

Back tonight to pick some basil as we are eating our first rooftop tomatoes tonight. Will report back. Happy harvesting everyone.
